01Context

Starting at a new university can be confusing: finding the right building, keeping track of your schedule and meeting other students all take time.

OnBoarding was designed to bring these needs together in one application and make the first weeks on campus easier.

02What we built

The application combines an interactive campus map, building search and navigation, a calendar with multiple views, student profiles and messaging.

It was built with Flutter and connected to a REST API using Express.js and MongoDB, with authentication and real-time messaging.

03My contribution

I worked mainly on the interface and Flutter application. I designed the mockups, implemented several screens and helped build the campus map and navigation experience.

I also took part in the overall design of the application and in the decisions around how the different features should work together.

04What I learned

The project was built for a real client, which meant adapting our ideas to actual requirements rather than only following a university brief.

It also pushed us to work as a team, deal with technical problems we had not seen before, and learn new tools as the project evolved.
